Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bites

Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bites

Remember when school started in the fall? Ya know, leaf changing, scarf wearing, apple season fall? Guess those days are long gone. It’s still 100° outside and ready or not, it’s that time of year: BACK. TO. SCHOOL. Back to busier schedules, carpooling, early bedtimes (and earlier alarm clocks), meal planning, and snacks on-the-go. As you boldly step into the new school year, we have an easy snack that might help prevent becoming hangry circa 4:00pm. The idea for this recipe actually came from drinking our daily protein shakes.

We’ve been super into protein shakes to start our day. This post is in no way sponsored by Orgain, but I must take a minute to gush about them. Their protein powders are organic, plant-based, and contain all sorts of good-for-you ingredients like chia seeds. Every serving of the protein powder has 21 grams of protein, 150 calories, and you know what? IT TASTES GOOD. We seriously look forward to our shakes everyday. I wondered how I could incorporate the protein powder we use in other recipes besides shakes, and this recipe came to mind. We’ve been making protein bites for years, but adding the chocolate protein powder to the bites really kicked the flavor into gear. Who doesn’t love the combo of peanut butter and chocolate? (If you don’t…. I’ll pray for you.)

Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bites

These no-bake protein bites are super easy to make and last at least a week when kept in an airtight container in the fridge. They’re great to grab if you need a little something to hold you over in the afternoon, and can also satisfy a quick late night sweet craving. Happy back-to-school to all those who are students, parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff. Let’s make it a year to remember!
