Hudsonville Ice Cream

Whitney Holding Hudsonville

This post is a paid partnership with Hudsonville Ice Cream. As always, our opinions are our own.

Every year around Labor Day, I look forward to dusting off the huge plastic bins in the basement that store our fall decorations. Wreaths! Pumpkins! Let the celebration of all things fall begin. After spending a few hours getting the house just right and seasonally appropriate, I step outside to hang the wreath on the door and suddenly remember how HOT it still is in September. Really, that St. Louis heat can linger through October. No matter the weather or what season the decorations around my house are channeling, there’s one treat that I continue to crave all year round: ice cream.

For me, ice cream is the ultimate nostalgic dessert. There’s just something about a scoop of ice cream that immediately sends me back to my childhood. I remember cozying up with my family on the couch with a big bowl of ice cream on Sunday nights to watch the featured Disney movie of the week. Family vacations to the beach not only meant a return to the ocean, but also to my favorite childhood ice cream shop. Cardinals games meant we’re either getting ice cream in the 4th inning or after the game. Fruit pies at Thanksgiving were only amplified by their ice cream a la mode accompaniment. Birthday party cake was good, but better with ice cream. These are moments throughout my life that were made even sweeter thanks to that good old American treat.

We’d like to introduce you today to our new partner, Hudsonville Ice Cream. Hudsonville uses the same recipe from 1926 to make their ice cream base. Their time-tested recipes are combined with the freshest ingredients, like milk and cream from local dairy farms, to make flavors you know and love better than ever.

Hudsonville Bright Ice Cream

Hudsonville Ice Cream is Midwest-made and they are excited to announce that they’re expanding! For all of our Midwest readers, you can now find Hudsonville ice cream at your local Schnucks store. For those of you not in the Midwest, you can head to their website and have this deliciousness shipped to your front door.

Hudsonville Four Cones

At Schnucks, you can find Hudsonville’s traditional flavors in 48-oz. sizes. Some of these include Traverse City Cherry Fudge, SuperScoop, and Triple Peanut Butter Cup. Every scoop is packed with the delicious mix-ins. The ones we tried featured tons of cookie dough, swirls of caramel, tons of fudge pieces. Our favorite has to be Deer Traxx. The peanut butter cups were just out-of-control good. If mix-ins aren’t your thing, their Creamery Blend Vanilla is rich and smooth, and ready to make all your waffle cone dreams come true.

Hudsonville Cartons

Their Extra Indulgent pint line will also be available at Schnucks. These include Cake Batter, Cookie Overload, and Mint Cookie Dough. Extra swirls and even more pieces in every bite set those apart from the classic flavors. Salted Caramel Brownie is next on our list. Oh, and for those of you looking for dairy free options, they have a whole line of flavors that are made with oat milk and coconut cream! These dairy free flavors aren’t available at Schnucks but you can check out their complete list of flavors and find dairy free flavors near you by clicking here.

Hudsonville Ice Cream Cones

One reason we wanted to partner with Hudsonville was their story. Hudsonville has stayed true to its Midwest roots for decades. Their mission is not only focused on producing quality ice cream, but as a company, they are centered around making everyday moments sweeter. We gave our one-year-old daughter her first taste of ice cream recently. That moment is one we’ll cherish forever. We’re looking forward to making many more sweet memories together as a family, and perhaps one day ice cream will be as nostalgic to her as it is for me. Next time you’re at Schnucks and deciding what to have for dessert, grab a carton of Hudsonville ice cream, and your family memories will be even sweeter.

Oh, and don’t worry, no ice cream was left uneaten in the making of this post.
