Sausage Breakfast Sandwiches

This post is sponsored by the Missouri Pork Association. However, as always, all opinions are our own.

For a delicious homemade breakfast sausage, reach for ground pork. This recipe highlights ground pork’s juiciness along with a flavorful mixture of seasoning. These sandwiches are great for breakfast on-the-go and can be stored in the fridge or freezer for make-ahead meals.

Combine your ground pork and seasoning mixture until fully integrated. More flavor will develop if you rest the mixture in the fridge. Form the sausage patties into roughly 3 ounce portions.

Get your sauté pan warmed to medium and start cooking those patties. Each side will take about 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

It’s time to build the sandwiches! We prefer freshly cooked scrambled eggs and a slice of American cheese surrounded by a toasted English muffin.

One thing we love about this recipe is that it’s easy to prep and store in the fridge or freezer for a meal on-the-go! Simply wrap in foil and rewarm before heading out the door. Enjoy!
